Purpose

A facility-focused view for organising work by building, system and piece of equipment. Technicians can consult instructions and record checks, condition notes or faults; supervisors can review the submitted history.

Predictive AI

Prediction from this application's own analytics

Like every Cloud on Tap application, Building Services includes AI prediction based on the analytics it holds in the cloud. Those analytics draw on the records submitted through its authorised workflows, under the same role-based access as the rest of the record.

Predictions support people's judgement. They do not replace review, professional advice or the configured workflow.

The problem addressed

Maintenance information can be scattered across paper, messages and separate files, making it difficult to understand what was checked, by whom and when.

Intended audiences

  • Facility managers
  • Technical departments
  • Maintenance contractors
  • Multi-site organisations

Capabilities

  • Identify a building and tagged equipment
  • Open plans and work instructions
  • Record checklist results, condition notes and faults
  • Search submitted work by building, equipment, technician or date
  • Embedded predictive AI based on the analytics of the respective application in the cloud.

Roles

  • Maintenance technician
  • Supervising technician
  • Technical manager

Workflow

  • 01Read the building or equipment tag with a compatible phone
  • 02Review the record and complete the relevant maintenance checks
  • 03Submit an entry for a supervisor to review in the facility history

Requirements

  • A COTIC-compatible smartphone or a camera-readable link, a programmed physical tag for real COTIC taps, network access for the documented cloud workflow, and an authorised account to edit records.

Important limitation

  • The historical demonstration focused on air-conditioning maintenance. It does not establish that every equipment category has a current operational module.

In practice · synthetic story

01 · Scenario

At a fictional office, a technician opens the tagged air-conditioning record, checks the filter and visible condition, records a non-sensitive observation and submits a maintenance entry. A supervisor then reviews that entry in the history.

02 · Outcome

The result: the technician and supervisor work from the same equipment history.

Synthetic illustration. No real site, person or prediction result is shown.

Frequently asked questions

Does a tap prove that maintenance happened?+

No. It opens the linked record. A person records the work, and the information should be reviewed according to the organisation’s process.

Can I try the maintenance workflow?+

Yes. The interactive example uses fictional data and simulates the documented steps; it is not a live customer installation.
