How it works

How it works

Architecture at a glance

From a COTIC interaction to a recorded, predictive history

  1. 01

    Object carrying a COTIC

An asset, room, vehicle or checkpoint carries a Cloud on Tap Information Carrier.

  2. 02

    Tap with a compatible phone

The COTIC points the phone to the right record and opens it in the browser.

  3. 03

    Role-based access

The view and the actions offered depend on the person's role.

  4. 04

    Cloud history and AI prediction

Submitted work is stored in the application's cloud history and analytics, which its AI prediction draws on.

SECURITY LAYER

Blockchain layer within the architecture

Cloud on Tap's architecture includes a blockchain layer that works alongside role-based access controls on cloud records, supporting the integrity of the recorded history.

  • Role-based access
  • Blockchain layer

COTIC (Cloud on Tap Information Carrier).

Identify an object or place with a COTIC information carrier. Open its linked record using a COTIC-compatible smartphone or a readable link. Review information or record work according to your permissions. Supervisors can review submitted history in the cloud workflow.

A COTIC is an information access point. It does not automatically sense conditions, transmit continuous location or authenticate a person.

All applications include predictive AI based on their own cloud analytics. Predictions depend on the available application data and support informed decisions; they are not guarantees or a replacement for professional judgement.
