Purpose

A vehicle-centred record for owners, workshops and fleet teams. It groups key documentation and manually entered service details so authorised people can review dates and maintenance history.

Predictive AI

Prediction from this application's own analytics

Like every Cloud on Tap application, Cars on Tap includes AI prediction based on the analytics it holds in the cloud. Those analytics draw on the records submitted through its authorised workflows, under the same role-based access as the rest of the record.

Predictions support people's judgement. They do not replace review, professional advice or the configured workflow.

The problem addressed

Vehicle papers, inspection dates and service notes may be kept in different places, making a useful handover difficult.

Intended audiences

  • Vehicle owners
  • Workshops
  • Inspection and service organisations
  • Fleet operators

Capabilities

  • Keep insurance and vehicle documentation details
  • Record inspection and emissions-check history
  • Add service and mileage entries
  • Show recorded expiry dates and next-service information
  • Embedded predictive AI based on the analytics of the respective application in the cloud.

Roles

  • Vehicle owner or authorised fleet viewer
  • Technician

Workflow

  • 01Open the vehicle file from its tag or link
  • 02Review documents, checks and recorded service events
  • 03An authorised technician adds a dated update or mileage entry

Requirements

  • A COTIC-compatible smartphone or link, network access for cloud records, a programmed physical tag for COTIC use, and authorised access for editing.

Important limitation

  • Expiry highlighting is described in historical material. Automated email or SMS alerts, insurer or government connections and telematics are not established.
